Fat Bear Week is a time when people vote for which of the fattest bears at a place called Katmai National Park, Alaska. The contest celebrates the strength, survival, and success of these big animals as they go through winter. Voting takes place every year in October, and usually lasts around one week. It's like March Madness, but with fat bears instead of basketball teams!

Fat Bear Week is an event where we celebrate the resilience and success of bears that gain weight during hibernation. We choose which bear should win based on their body size and people vote for them between October 4th to 10th. This year's competition will start on the 4th of October, ending on Fat Bear Tuesday, which we believe is happening on the 10th. In addition, there are many other interesting bears participating in this event that you can learn about and vote for during the contest period.
